The Adventure Program is an enrichment based way to help your dog DOG! Life can get pretty busy to take our dogs on weekly hikes and other activities that allow them to express natural behaviors safely within the community. That's where we come in! We tailor each experience to the individual whether it is hiking, swimming, decompression walks, socialization with other dogs and people, or all the above! Our goal is to meet your dog’s needs so that they have fun, learn to self soothe post a workout or activity, incorporate life skill training, and feel content coming home to their loved ones :)

FAQ’s
Can I come hiking with you and the dogs? It sounds like fun!
The adventure program is not for caretakers but if you would like to schedule a consultation and session, we would be more than happy to plan a session in a park setting, work on prey drive, leash walking and/or assist you in teaching your dog how to relax in a stimulating environment. Photos and videos will be taken during adventures though!
What areas do you serve?
We do pickups and drop-offs from Denver-metro area only at this time.
How many dogs are on the buddy walk? And how many trainers?
Currently, we will take 2-3 dogs depending on training/temperament. We tailor the experience for YOUR dog to enjoy their hike that does not overwhelm them, keeps them safe (and the trainer safe), and for them to have a more enriching experience with us. It is 1 trainer per adventure but if we decide to expand on the groups, any more than 3 dogs will have 2 trainers for safety purposes.
Do you use e-collars on the hikes?
We DO NOT use e-collars, shock collars, prong, choke chains, or anything that will harm your dog. We ask that your dog be on a harness with both a front and back clip (please ask us for recommendations if need be!) along with their id tag collar. If your dog utilizes a gentle leader, we can accommodate this walking tool and help them go on a front clip harness in the process with us.
What if my dog has certain behavioral concerns such as car anxiety, aggression, fear, or doesn't like to be handled by strangers/other people?
An in-person behavior consultation is required before starting the adventure program if your dog is experiencing the maladaptive behaviors noted above for us to determine if this is the right program for them. This way, we can all be on the same page with how to measure progress in a training program both on adventures and within the home. If your dog is already in our behavior program, we will discuss what is best for your dog's overall welfare as an individual. If your dog is not experiencing any of these behaviors, a meet & greet will be set-up for us to see how your dog is in a car, on a trail with and without you nearby, and with a helper dog if interested in buddy hikes!
What if my dog doesn't know foundational life skills (obedience..but we don’t like this word!) cues?
No worries! This is FUN focused with foundational training sprinkled in. Your dog will learn basic skills within this program. If you are looking for more advanced training skills or behavior modification, we suggest booking a consultation with us so we can steer you in the right direction for sessions.
Are there times you have to cancel an Adventure Day?
YES. We will not partake on an adventure day during a hurricane, thunder, lightening, or any other hazardous weather. Rain is all good with us (as long as your dog will enjoy themselves!). If the "real feel" temperature is above 90 or below 32 (freezing) this is hazardous for dog health and may be canceled. If your dog has a "smushed face" we will discuss how your dog may not be able to handle moderate-high heat as an individual. Health & safety is always #1 priority. Depending on the radar, we will do our best to cancel 24 hours or more ahead of time if you need to schedule other plans during the day for your dog.
What's your cancellation policy?
Sickness happens and we get it! If your dog is ill, please let us know 24 hours before scheduled adventure day. If notified after the 24 hours before the start of the adventure, we have a $30 fee.
